Red hair, don’t care…

Hello all you lovely people!

I thought I would do a little post this evening to let you know what I have been up to over the last few days. Obviously, that’s not a whole lot because lockdown is still very present. I have done a little writing, chapter 14, 15 and 16 are now complete as first drafts. I am currently up to about 38,000 words. During this process, I have consumed many gin and tonics and YouTube is just about out of music for me to listen to, although, I have discovered a couple of new artists and I am totally loving listening to them while I write. But less about the writing, here’s a little insight into what I have been up to…

My favourite little man in the whole world came for a quick visit in the garden today. This is my bestie’s little boy, his name is Teddy. He has the most beautiful red hair, just like his mumma. My own little red head (George the furry potato) took a liking to him. This picture hurts my heart a little, cuteness overload! We made the most of the sun today by being totally British and sitting in the shade, two metres apart, with cups of tea. Just four redheads, avoiding the sun and living the lockdown dream. I do now feel a little more human after speaking to someone who does not live under the same roof as me, but I also now know how much I am missing cuddles with this boy!

After spending my 30th birthday sitting at home, sulking about how I couldn’t go out, I am officially desperately craving a night out! So, before my weekly trip to Tesco, I took the opportunity to put on a bit of makeup and spend an hour waving my hair. Naturally, this then led to numerous Snapchat selfies in the car (Snapchat was of course required for the filters as I have not seen the sun in weeks). And yes, I am well aware that my roots are definitely due a touch up! Luckily for me, it would appear that other residents of my local area are also keen to dress up for their weekly shop, so I did not look like the biggest idiot there.

And finally, I just wanted to include a cheeky little review which has materialised today. If you have not already read my book, this review tells you exactly why you should. Thank you so much Gail, you amazing lady, you. I can’t tell you how pleased I am that you enjoyed it.

Please, please, please keep the reviews coming! I have recently entered into a competition through Amazon to win a publishing deal, and I will be relying on sales and reviews to get my book noticed by the judges. I cannot stress just how amazing it would be to win a publishing deal! Don’t forget, I have a giveaway currently running in regards to any reviews left, you can check it out here: http://louisa-law.com/2020/05/17/giveaway/

Let me know what you have been up to in the comments below…

Stay safe

    I love this blog!
We too feel a little more human after spending some quality time in the sun with actual people. I’m not sure Teddy realises that anyone other than his parents even exist anymore?! Cheers for that, Lockdown!
It was fascinating to watch Teddy’s first ever interaction with animals, which was all photographed and filmed by his proud and obsessed mummy, of course. I think it’s safe to say we have a new guinea pig lover in the hood! Oh and he’s pretty fond of you too, Aunty LouLou. Here’s to hoping he sleeps like a boss tonight so I can get stuck into the next chapter of Gifted! I think this one’s going to pull at the heartstrings just a bit.
Love ya Bestie <3 Keep up the awesome blogging.
